Girlguiding UK

Welcome to Girlguiding in Loughton South

The Guiding District of Loughton South is a part of Epping Forest South Division in Essex West.

Loughton South covers the units which meet at The Lincoln Hall, Loughton Baptist Church, St. Edmund's Church The Methodist Church and St. Michael's Church.

We have 2 Rainbow units, 5 Brownie packs and 2 Guide Companies.

We are a very friendly district and the leaders organise many joint events such as a district holiday weekend, a trip to Disney on ice, fun evenings, and Christmas discos. The Leaders always have just as much fun as the girls!

Guiding is very popular with girls in the area, and all of our units are well supported and all have waiting lists.

To avoid disappointment we advise that you put your daughter’s name down at your chosen unit well in advance of her reaching the age group for that section.

To give the opportunity of the guiding experience to more girls we need more adult volunteer leaders. To find out what’s involved go to Volunteer

Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with over, 500,000 members including about 100,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders. The aim of guiding is to help girls and young women develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and to the wider world.
